WIndows Users: In order for the videos to play you must have QuickTime(tm) for Windows installed on your computer. If you do not have QuickTime(tm) for Windows installed, install the QuickTime(tm) for Windows player, which we have included on this CD ROM. It is located in the Qtime folder.
MACINTOSH Users: For MAC users you must have the quicktime extensions installed. They are located in the quicktime folder on this CD ROM.
If audio starts and then stops or does not play:
There are audio buttons throughout this CD for turning the audio clips on and off. A single click is all that is needed. DO NOT DOUBLE CLICK. If you double click on these buttons it will turn the audio on and then off again after the second click.

On the main menu and GOTO popup menu, five options will appear. In our "Evolution of Beer" section you can find out all about the history of beer, its ingredients, the brewing process, and every great style and type of beer. Our "Enjoying Beer" section starts with the basics--how to store beer, serve it, taste it, and evaluate it like a pro. In this section we'll also talk about matching beer with different foods and seasons, cooking with beer, and all of its health aspects. In addition, you'll find a whole slew of beer games, trivia, jokes, quotes, and more. Our "Beers of the World" section will take you on a worldwide tour of beer and the finest craft breweries in North America. In our "Homebrewing" section we'll uncover all the secrets and recipes behind great homebrewing and we'll walk you through the process step-by-step. Last but not least, our "Glossary" section will list all of the beer terms, organizations, and references you could ask for.
We're sure you'll find this CDROM entertaining, informative, and useful in developing your skills not only as a home brewer but also as a patron in your local brew pub.
NAVIGATION:
Throughout the CD you'll find navigation fairly straightforward. If the cursor changes into a pointing finger, you can click on it, if you see a button you can click it.
VIDEOS: Videos with control bars can be stopped ,started and rewound at anytime. You will also find videos without control bars, to bypass these videos simply click on the Skip Video button to proceed into the section.
AUDIO Buttons: There are two kinds of audio buttons, both act as a toggle switch to turn the audio on and off. DONT DOUBLE CLICK, this will just turn the audio on after the first click and then off again after the second click. Some but not all screens may begin with the audio already started for you.

You can navigate to any of these five categories by clicking on the category that you would like, either from the main menu when you first start the CD or from the GOTO popup menu that is located on all screens. There is no need to go back to the main menu when you first started the CD because all of the same options are on the GOTO popup menu.
GOTO Button: This button activates a popup menu. All five categories are listed in this popup menu. Simply click on the category you want. The category you are currently in is highlighted. Clicking on the category you are currently in will take you to it's menu. To remove the popup menu from the screen simply click on the GOTO button again.
TAPS and BOTTLE CAPS: The taps and bottle caps list the subjects available in the category your in. Simply click on a tap or bottle cap to go to that subject.
BACK and NEXT Buttons: Use the back and next buttons to navigate from subject to subject within the category you are currently in.
RETURN Button: Some screens display a return button. Clicking on this button will return you to the menu you came from. If you are in the help screen the return button will return you to where you came from.
PRINT Button: The recipes and beer rating sheet are printable. Simply click on the printer icon.
TEXT: Most of the text has a standard scroll bar. Simply click on the up or down arrows to scroll, for faster scrolling hold down the mouse button and release when done scrolling.
